Dr. Christine Crawford

Psychiatrist

Dr. Christine M. Crawford, MD, MPH is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist specializing in adult, child, and adolescent mental health. Currently, she serves as the Associate Medical Director for the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) and as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Crawford is passionate about teaching trainees and was the receipt of the 2025 Educator of the Year Award at Boston University School of Medicine.

Recognized for her contributions to mental health, Dr. Crawford has been featured on the cover of Boston Magazine for their annual 2025 Top Doctors edition. She is a trusted expert in child mental health, frequently consulted by major media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, The Boston Globe, NBC, PBS, and Medscape. Dr. Crawford has also made on-camera appearances for prominent programs such as the Today Show, BBC, and local news affiliates of CBS, Fox, and ABC.

In addition to her clinical and media work, Dr. Crawford is the author of "You Are Not Alone for Parents and Caregivers: The NAMI Guide to Navigating Your Child’s Mental Health," providing essential resources for families navigating mental health challenges.
