Natick's Annual MLK Day Celebration

A community event honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his mission to promote kindness and justice for all

Building a Beloved Community

Connection + Service + Justice. This annual intergenerational event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through music, art, and messages of justice, kindness, and inclusion by bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds. The program features student and community performances, a keynote presentation, and community leader reflections, as well as highlighting a community service project.

The event offers meaningful moments for reflection, helping individuals deepen their connections, explore everyday actions that promote justice and inclusion, stand up to racism and all forms of injustice, amplify kindness, and help build a beloved community where everyone belongs.

History of Natick's MLK Day Celebration

Founded in 2005, this annual celebration has been organized each year by a diverse group of community members (called the Natick MLK Dream Team), and organizations representing local non profits, social justice groups, schools, interfaith leaders, town officials, arts organizations and more. Former FCCN Pastor, Vicky Guest, was a founding member of the MLK Day Planning Committee representing the Greater Natick Interfaith Clergy Association, along with former Natick Principal and School Superintendent, Dr. Anna Nolin.
