Celebrating Connection and Kindness: Spark Kindness Joins Good Neighbor Day 2025
Come together for Cocoa & Connection at Natick Farmer’s Market on Sept 27th to celebrate kindness, community, and the power of a friendly hello!

Spark Kindness is a proud member of the Massachusetts Coalition to Build Community & End Loneliness.
The Coalition, founded in 2019, includes 150 organizations including state- and city-level governments, nonprofits, academic institutions, advocacy groups, thought leaders, and other partners. The Coalition has created several initiatives including Massachusetts Good Neighbor Day, which Governor Healy officially proclaimed on September 28th, 2024 to start a cherished annual tradition. More than 30 organizations joined in the inaugural celebration, holding Good Neighbor Day events and highlighting the power of connection, kindness, and community.
Whether it's a small act of kindness or a city-wide celebration, Good Neighbor Day builds meaningful connections between neighbors. The goal of Good Neighbor Day is to foster connected, caring communities where no one feels invisible or left out in the neighborhood they call home. The day aims to:
- Celebrate the power of neighborliness
- Promote social connection and address loneliness
- Inspire collective actions
- Encourage intergenerational engagement
- Establish a state-wide tradition of every day being Good Neighbor Day
In a time of isolation, division, and disconnection, Massachusetts Good Neighbor Day reminds us that each of us can help build a more connected and compassionate community — one neighbor, one gathering, one simple act at a time. And let’s not forget those who face barriers and generally cannot connect in traditional ways.

Cocoa & Connection Pop-Up: Saturday, 9/27
This year, the celebration is being extended for a full weekend from September 26th-28th, 2025. Whether you come with friends, family, a neighbor, a colleague or on your own, you’ll be met with friendly faces and a space where everyone belongs.
