A Resource Built for Collaboration
The MetroWest Anti-Bullying Coalition (MW ABC) is proud to announce the launch of its new website - an accessible, community-centered hub created to help schools, families, community members and partners across the MetroWest region and the broader Commonwealth address bullying, with a particular focus on identity-based bullying.
The new site, available at www.mwantibullying.org, offers practical tools, research-informed tip sheets, upcoming events, training opportunities, and stories from local partners working to create safer, more inclusive communities.
Support for Schools, Families, and Communities
“Bullying and bias are often politicized, but they are not political, they are human issues. Human issues should unite us,” said Christine Fortune Guthery, J.D., Executive Director of Spark Kindness and Co-Leader of MW ABC. “This website will bring resources together in one place to help support us working together as communities to build belonging.”
The website responds to a growing need for centralized, easy-to-access information to help communities understand, prevent, and respond to bullying, harassment and acts of hate —especially when tied to identity such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or language.
“Our goal was to build a site that supports educators, leaders and families, across different communities,” added Alyndra B. Canty, M.Ed., Co-Leader of MW ABC. “It reflects the collaborative spirit of our coalition—we are stronger together.”
The MW ABC website highlights work happening across MetroWest and provides actionable pathways for our communities to engage in meaningful anti-bullying efforts.

About the MW ABC
The MetroWest Anti-Bullying Coalition is a regional alliance of schools, families, community organizations, and local leaders dedicated to preventing bullying and promoting belonging. The MW ABC is a Spark Kindness initiative rooted in values of kindness, resilience, and inclusion for all. At Spark Kindness, we aim to bring community together to focus on identity-based bullying and hate speech by identifying its causes (which include systemic bias), its harmful impact, and potential solutions so that we can work to address it together.
Creating a safe, supportive community takes collective effort, and we all have a role to play—from schools and families to faith leaders, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and neighbors working together.
