Holding Space for Loss: Resources for Grief Awareness Month
Discover bereavement resources and support tools to help you or someone you care about through grief, one step at a time.
By Spark Kindness Team
Dear Spark Community,
Our mission at Spark Kindness is to build a supportive, resilient community where empathy and compassion thrive. Grief Awareness Month in August encourages open discussion of the profound impact of different types of loss while breaking down stigmas. We understand each person's grief journey is individual and can be complex - seeking support is not only important, but essential.
We encourage you to explore bereavement support resources below and share this guide with others. Together, we can help one another in difficult seasons of life. Please do not hesitate to reach out for help.
Keep a look-out for our Children's Grief Awareness newsletter that is sent out every November (and view additional resources here).

"Everyone at some point will suffer a loss – the loss of loved ones, good health, a job. It’s your desert experience – a time of feeling barren of options, even hope. The important thing is not to allow yourself to be stranded in the desert.”
— Dr. Patrick Del Zoppo
